Was I too rude to him?? I don't know what he might be thinking about me!"
Do these types of thoughts come in your mind day and night? Are they ruining your mental health..
If yes then dude you are overthinking...
I am in my bed wide awake..
Overthinking on all the possible matters. Coming to the worst conclusion just to mark myself safe in future.I do spend my present moments in exchange for so called " FUTURE EVENTS" which never take place. You see habits are hard to change.
It's human nature to think things through when we make a decision or evaluating a situation , but it becomes overthinking when you can't get out of your own head. When you are an overthinker you may have experienced sleepless night thinking of all the possibilities in your head that could have happen... Overthinking can Increase symptoms of depression, elevate your stress level and cloud your judgement.
Why do we overthink??
We often overthink when we have to make a tough life decision or we are dealing with INSECURITIES. If overthinking is not a symptom of a deeper emotional issue, it can be often addressed by changing thoughts and mindsets.
Overthinking is parasitic . It's viral. It's deadly , even . Letting yourself fall victim to overthinking doesn't just kill your happiness, it destroys who you are. The mind is a beautiful and complex thing , and the only person who can't hurt it is yourself.

A lot of people ask themselves why do I overthink? And never come up with an answer .
It's time to face our fears so that we can overcome them and stop overthinking.
1) Firstly you need to identify what's holding you back , once you get the hold on it replace your negative thoughts or stories with a positive ones. Think positive. Thinking of a positive outcome can surely make you release your stress and your mind relaxed so that you don't overthink much. Take charge of your emotion and I m sure you are gonna win this battle. Once you change your story , you will change your life.
2) Let go of your past... The past can't be changed but you can change your present and future . Don't let your past mistakes control your future decision. And don't let a bad decision or a bad story make you feel miserable in any way. The things that you have done to you in past control your emotions. Start forgiving others and let go of your anger.
3) Live in the moment , spread more smiles and look for the positive side in everyone... But don't let yourself to be a victim ... Doing meditation and priming can help you retain your brain to live in the moment
4) Focus on solutions rather than thinking about what has already happened.. give your power to energy and solutions
5) Ask yourself the right question
When you ask questions that allow you to make changes to your own behaviour in a healthier manner , you can reduce overthinking and improve your life.
Once you discover how to stop overthinking you will be happier and will have a positive influence on those who are around you.

ReplyDeleteHey, Raghav! I can't help but admit that you've taken a great subject to pen down your thoughts. I think nowadays people care too much about what 'others' think which in turn leads them to feel victimized and constantly taking off into a nervous flutter of thoughts.
ReplyDelete(P.S. Did you know that overthinking are also symptoms of panic and anxiety attacks? )
I am Shriya, btw.
:)
Yes anxiety causes people to overthink everythings and often fear to express themselves. Anxiety, panic and overthinking are all evil partners which slowly leads to downfall of ourselves , we feel physically and emotionally unwell .And it all gets worse once we start to beleive in these thoughts.
